Kings Of Leon/Only By The Night

So I’ll be the first person to say that if I don’t like a certain band that there might be a time where I finally get it.  This is not always the case but it is with Kings of Leon newest musical content.  For the first two records I have not felt that special thing that music has when it moves you.  I am not saying it didn’t have it because I know many of people who love those Kings of Leon efforts but may not even like Only By The Night.

This could very well be their equal to U2’s The Joshua Tree.  This is not a comparison in greatness as much as it is a album that will get them world wide recognition beyond their die hard indie fans.  It is a great album.  So sit back with your favorite favorite bottle of Tempranillo and enjoy.

  • I've been listening to this album a lot and happily telling people about it - I'm A / B 'ing it next to Travis' ode to J. Smith and much as I love my homeboys and actually dig their album - Only By The Night kicks their arse. All that aside - they have some of the most compelling content I've seen from a band on their website - the short videos are genius.
  • I truly love this album. So damn good. I'm going to check out their website now.

Tempranillo eh? I just got the new Kings of Leon and like you, I didn't see it, but now, I do. And yeah, something in the way of a Toro, like Numanthia Termes or Maurodos Prima, that would do the trick.
  • Of course my friend, you are the expert in the field of grape as I am just going on the basics of a palette as amateur as mine ;).

FTR, this Kings of Leon has not left my Cd player in my car in almost a month. Still Rockin' it!
