Speak In Numbers
May 26, 2008
Spy for Hire’s debut Cd “Speak in Numbers” emerges as a passionate musical landscape which effectually speaks to the discontented wanting of today. The opening song, “Luck” masks its pop undertones with raw desire. Track three, “Things Used to Be Good” with its bitter-sweet musings in the chorus “Don’t believe, in things you used to be proud of…” further sets the tone of a world that unfortunately must and should be questioned and the discontentment’s of a world gone wrong. On track five, “Motorcycle” the power elevates into a tribal-like chant in the songs hypnotic choruses. Speak in Numbers, is skillfully and meticulously produced by James Salter for boutique label Architek One. Spy for Hire, with “Speak in Numbers”, has created an infectious opus to the power of rock and needed return to music that matters.
Spy For Hire Recording at Southern Tracks
April 4, 2008
Spy For Hire is putting the finishing touches on their final songs for their debut Cd, Speak In Numbers. We decided to take this project over to the infamous Southern Tracks here in Atlanta to up the ante on what is already a great sounding record. I think it is safe to say that Southern Tracks is synonymous with great recordings in Atlanta. The platinum plaques that make up the walls throughout the studio speak for the studio and the staff. Although, this legacy has had some hardships in the past year with the passing of founder, Mike Clark. The legend will continue on with such an amazing talented staff at the helms of the the ship. We had such an amazing recording experience that we hope will shine through on these final songs. We can’t wait to finish these songs up for the world to hear.
